Anna's New Winter Wear

They insisted Ellery be in the pictures, too. That I understand. What I don't understand is the insistence on an open mouth.

Seriously, their were something like ten other pictures of Anna with her mouth wide open. Oh well. Hat pattern here. Cowl pattern here. I've decided cowls are the way to go for kids. No loose ends. No falling off accidentally and getting lost. I may have another in the works. OK, I definitely have another in the works. And one in the planning stages. Just go ahead and call me cowl crazy.

Christmas Photos

Are you ready? Are you in a comfy chair with a refreshing beverage close at hand? Because this is going to take a while.

Here it goes- Christmas 2011.

Anna's Christmas Program

Relatives

Decorating Cookies

Christmas Eve

Christmas Day

The Day After Christmas (when I really should have taken more pictures).

Christmas #2

The Playmobil Dollhouse Happy Dance

Whew. I feel like I need a nap after all of that.

Handmade Gift Report #4

Don't worry, all that's left is a few odds and ends. Bows for the smallest girl on our gift list.

Bracelets for all the little girls on our gift list.

Cosy pajama pants for my Mom.

A bookmark to go with the books for my Dad.

And that's it really. Two or three months worth of crafting. It seems strange to be done. Maybe I'll just have to get a really early start on next Christmas. Or at least work on getting my Christmas quilt finished. Before I go peacefully off to sleep, here are some pictures I just found on my camera which are too good to not include. The best Christmas cookie ever.

Yes, it's a ninja. And a few pictures from the kids opening their pajamas on Christmas Eve.

Tomorrow- Christmas pictures that have nothing whatsoever to do with crafting.

Handmade Gift Report #3

The package did arrive yesterday. Now I don't have to be incredibly furious at the Postal Service, just mildly peeved that it didn't make it before Christmas. There was such a bounty of handmade goodness in this one box that it getting lost would have been a tragedy of epic proportions. Inside was.... A soft, flannel scarf. (Pattern here- http://www.makeit-loveit.com/2010/01/gathered-flannel-scarf.html)

A sweet baby hat and socks (Patterns here http://heyjulie.wordpress.com/2006/08/18/cabled-baby-hats/ and here- http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/baby-socks-13)

A matching cabled hat for the proud papa (pattern- http://splendorknitting.blogspot.com/2009/10/natural.html)

And two doll quilts for the big sisters.

Also included was a quilt for the baby who should be arriving soon. Which I completely forgot to take any pictures of. Yeah, I feel like an idiot. I'll have to beg my brother to take some pictures for me.
