If you know me, you know there was no way I could leave those two-small and too-big Easter dresses alone. It just couldn't end there. So, I tried again. I remeasured the girls, redrew the pattern piece, labeled the pattern piece so that I couldn't accidently turn it sideways again, and made two more dresses.
My perfectionism has been appeased- they fit perfectly and are just about the most adorable thing I have ever seen.
How is it my baby girl already knows how to pose like this?
Anyway, I kept the dresses really simple. Ties at the shoulder. Added some length to hop on the maxi-dress bandwagon. I couldn't resist adding just a little bit of vintage prettiness to Anna's.
Although, there's really no competing with her own prettiness.
She loves it.
Ellery got to pick out the fabric for her dress, unlike Anna who was stuck with Easter dress leftovers. It's so bright and springy and cheerful. I think my girl's got a great eye for fabric.
Exact same pattern as Anna's- just shorter. I added a ribbon sash just because it needed something to break up all the busyness of the fabric.
Speaking of perfect, I pretty much think these girls are.
