Last week, I finally finished the baby quilt made with the leftovers from the Lazy Summer Days Quilt.
It should have been a quick simple finish. Basting, simple stitch-in-the-ditch quilting, binding. I was wondering while taking the pictures why in the heck this had taken me almost two months. Then I remembered- 4,000 mile road trip and my kids home all day, every day. Yep, that explains it. Really, it's miracle to have it done at all.
I still absolutely love those bears.
For now, it is a quilt without an intended owner since it was just made from the leftover blocks. My baby boy would like it but it's much to small for him. I'm sure a cute, baby boy will come along soon to someone I know. If not, I'll probably end up donating it to a hospital or the local refugee center.
The pattern is Scrappy Strips and is available as a free tutorial from Cluck,Cluck Sew. I highly recommend it- it's detailed, well-written and makes a super quick, super cute quilt.
