More Socks!

OK- just one more pair. But, I feel like all I've been doing lately is knitting socks. This makes my seventh (!) completed pair since June. And the eighth is already on the needles and ready for the first heel. They are just such a good, portable project and ultra comfy and useful once done.

This pair was for my husband.

I tried out a new pattern this time around- the Smooth Operator Socks by Susan B Anderson. I like it. I'm a fan of the nice even stripe pattern around the heel.

This makes my fifth pair of socks knit in Knit Picks Felici yarn- one pair for everybody in the family. I love the colors and the softness. I'm a little worried about how they'll hold up long term, but so far so good.

At the Pool

When I was shopping for a camera for my oldest daughter, I found a highly rated one that was shock-proof and water-proof. I thought, "That will be useful in case she drops it in a puddle or something." Turns out it is handy for a lot more than that-
